Animals were immunized with activated DBA/2J mouse B cells. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with an epitope encoded by variable exon C of mouse CD45. This epitope is expressed at high levels on essentially all mouse B cells and at lower levels on virtually all CD8 positive (CD8+) splenic T cells. |
